At Edge Hill University, you can spend either a semester or an academic year earning credit for majors such as Education, Arts and Sciences, Business, Information Systems and Dance. For 121 years, Edge Hill has a reputation for its state-of-the-art campus, enjoying learning, organized activities at the Students’ Union, excellent sports facilities, internet access, cafes, and restaurants.
Location
Located in North West England, Ormskirk is a small, friendly market town with generally mild climate (not too hot, not too cold). A National Express bus station in Ormskirk provides transportation to nearby Preston, Manchester, and Liverpool. In these cities, a wide variety of activities such as museums, rock concerts, ballets and soccer. London and Edinburgh are approximately three and a half hours way.
Academics
Students take four academic courses at Edge Hill University. Courses are set at three levels. If you are a sophomore, it is suggested to take level-one courses, level-two for juniors and level-three for seniors.

Housing and Meals
Participants stay at one of the 19 residence halls on-campus. You can select catered or non-catered accommodations, although students do receive a meal plan for their stay. Each hall includes kitchen and bathroom on each floor, furnished room with bed, wardrobe, desk, and chair, free wireless internet access, and 24-hour security. Some halls have a sink and shared access to a common room.
Arrival and Orientation
Participants will be picked up from the airport and taken to their accommodations. Afterwards, students will be introduced to important facility on-campus during the week-long orientation. Also, tours will be given around campus.

Amounts are in US dollars. Some costs may be approximate due to the changing value of the US dollar against international currencies. Checked (?) items are included in Winthrop tuition, room and board fees.
